Any music site is incomplete without songs of this man. Mohammad Rafi, a true legend of Hindi Film Industry.  He is regarded as one of the greatest playback singers of India. He kept the world captivated with his versatile singing for four decades. He was awarded National Award and 6 Film fare Awards. In 1967, he was honoured with the Padma Shri awarded by the Government of India. Rafi has sung 7,516 Hindi film songs, 112 non-Hindi film songs, and 328 private (non-film) songs from 1945 to 1980. His singing career spanned about 35 years, and his songs ranged from classical numbers to patriotic songs, sad lamentations to highly romantic numbers, qawwalis to ghazals and bhajans. He sung in 15 different languages, including English and Persian.
 
 
Rafi Saab, is indeed the best singer of all times. Today, 33 years after his death, he lives on eternally. His songs today are just as popular as they were during his lifetime. His last song was “tu kahi aas paas hai” from the film Aas Paas.
Despite achieving all name & fame, tasting huge success and being on the top, he never let the success go to his head. He remained a down to earth man throughout his life. He was from a humble background, but rose to the top because of his sincerity, devotion, hard work & dedication.
