Some thing Very Interesting ...

Professor Ernest Brennecke of Columbia University is credited with inventing a sentence that can be made to have eight different meanings by placing ONE WORD in all possible positions in the sentence: "I hit him in the eye yesterday"

1.  ONLY I hit him in the eye yesterday. (No one else did.)
2.  I ONLY hit him in the eye yesterday. (Did not slap him.)
3.  I hit ONLY him in the eye yesterday. (I did not hit others.)
4.  I hit him ONLY in the eye yesterday. (I did not hit outside the eye.)
5.  I hit him in ONLY the eye yesterday. (Not other organs.)
6.  I hit him in the ONLY eye yesterday. (He doesn't have another eye..)
7.  I hit him in the eye ONLY yesterday. (Not today.)
8.  I hit him in the eye yesterday ONLY. (Did not wait for today.)

This is why it is important to be precise!

How Rightly Said ...

International Women's Day

From China to Costa Rica, from Mali to Malaysia acclaimed singers and musicians, women and men, have come together to spread a message of unity and solidarity: We are "One Woman".

Launching on International Women's Day, 8 March 2013, the song is a rallying cry that inspires listeners to join the drive for women's rights and gender equality. "One Woman" was written for UN Women, the global champion for women and girls worldwide, to celebrate its mission and work to improve women's lives around the world.

This year, International Women’s Day focuses on ending violence against women — a gross human rights violation that affects up to 7 in 10 women and a top priority for UN Women. As commemorations are underway in all corners of the globe, "One Woman" reminds us that together, we can overcome violence and discrimination: "We Shall Shine!"
